Don’t Hate God’s Law
No one is saved by God’s law. He is holy and we are sinners. In terms of salvation, the law only serves to condemn us, like a mirror showing us the harsh reality after waking up. Just like the laws a government gives, nobody is given an award for following them super well, you’re only punished if you break them. Jesus came to fulfill and save us from the law’s condemnation.
Many Christians today are taught that God’s law is somehow bad, wrong, irrelevant, or gone because of Grace, but it still stands as righteous and good. We still ought to live by it, especially so if we are saved (Romans 3:31). Now this doesn’t mean all the ceremonial laws given to the Israelites - that’s a separate issue - but God’s moral law still stands, even after Jesus came!
Now, while the law doesn’t save us, the law of God itself is a BLESSING! It is a gift to His people, and any people or nation that has ever had it as their foundation has experienced blessing from God. Rather than having a humanist society that says “anything goes”, I pray that our country will return to fearing God. If not, it will experience greater snd greater judgement from God - from which He still receives glory. Destruction from not following God’s law still shows that His law is right and good.
Living life God’s way will produce good fruit. We will always experience pain and suffering this side of heaven, but the more we read His Word, learn His heart, grow in our fear and adoration of Him, and increase our humility before Him, we will be blessed. So, don’t hate the law, love it! Just recognize that following it doesn’t save, following it is an act of worship after you’re saved by faith alone in Christ.

“The Law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul;
the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart; the commandments of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.” - Psalm 19:7-8
