Judgement Delayed
There are many things about God that we don't understand, and the temptation is to think that because there are things we don't understand, that He must not exist. The fact that we have the Word of God, that we actually have a legitimate holy book from this Creator, TO US, that tells the actual truth of the God of the Universe and how we can know Him AND LIVE FOREVER IS proof of His existence! The Bible says “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” in Deuteronomy 29:29. And in Romans 1:19 - "For what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them."
There are things we don't understand about God because He has shielded us from them for His purposes. We can't go off of what we don't know. We can only go off of what we know. What we know: The Universe didn't create itself. There is a God. He created everything in existence. He has given us His Word so that we can know Him and what He wants. The Word tells us that He is good, He created all things perfect, and then made man to look like Him. He loves us more than all His creation. God gave man a simple rule to follow in His new, perfect world, and man purposefully and knowingly broke that rule, sending the world into a curse that still plagues us today. The curse is sin. Sin is real. Sin holds weight. Sin can only be cleansed by blood. In His Word, God told of the coming of His Son to save the world from sin, and redeem His people. God the Son came to earth in the form of a man, Jesus, who was fully God and fully man. He lived a life completely free of sin, something that no other man could ever do. Because the payment for sin must be blood, God the Father purposed that Jesus, His Son would be the perfect sacrifice that would cover all sin for all time. He was crucified, buried, and rose again after three days, just as He had predicted He would. God said in His Word that the only way to be free from mankind's curse of sin was through His Son Jesus.
He has delayed judgement so that we can turn from our sin to Jesus. God always keeps His promises. Because of Jesus, we have the power to overcome the temptations and to run from sin through the third and final person of the three-person God, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, and allows us to understand the truth of God as declared in His Word. The Word teaches us that because of Jesus, we now have full access to God in prayer. We can confess our sins to Him, cast our cares upon Him, and ask Him for things both physical and immaterial as we spread the truth of His Word as He has asked. One day, all of the world will face judgement by Jesus. The Word tells us that everyone will be judged perfectly according to what he or she has done. Everything we have ever done, said, or thought is being recorded and will one day be revealed to everything that has ever had life or breath in the great courtroom of God. Based on God's Word, all humans have failed and are guilty of punishment. Punishment is eternal torment of fire in a place that God built for His enemies.
If a person did not turn to Jesus for salvation, repent of their sins, and walk according to the ways of God's Word, their name will not be found in the book of those that will spend eternity on the fully restored earth, in perfect peace and harmony with God in restored and glorified bodies forever. You are a moral being. You are not a fish or a cow. You were made in God's image. You have worth and value. God has delayed His judgement on you so that you can turn your life around, this moment, and follow Him. Turn away from your sin, believe that Jesus is Lord, and pray to Him to ask Him to take over your life. Ask for His forgiveness, and He will do it
