Family Crisis

& God’s Redemption

In the summer of 2025, Justin and his family entered a devastating season following the discovery of Ashley’s infidelity. What followed was a period of shock, grief, and painful clarity as the full story came into the light through confession, counseling, and accountability. Ashley fully owned her sin while also uncovering deeper layers of deception, long-standing wounds, and psychological manipulation that had left her vulnerable. Justin faced the agonizing question of whether reconciliation was possible while walking through betrayal trauma and seeking God’s direction rather than reacting from fear or pride. In time, he discerned he was not being released from his marriage and chose the difficult path of forgiveness and rebuilding.

The months since have been marked by repentance, healing, and the slow work of restoring trust within their marriage and family. Ashley has pursued transparency and humility, and Justin has continued to heal while carrying both grief and hope. Though this journey resulted in Justin’s departure from church staff, it did not result in the loss of faith or calling. Their story bears witness to a lived gospel: that sin loses its power in the light, shame does not have the final word, and redemption—while costly—is real and ongoing.
